Whose voice does Zolie use?+
Yours. We clone your voice from a short ~20-second recording you make right after checkout. Callers hear the owner's own voice, not a stock receptionist. That's the single biggest reason callers stay on the line long enough to book.
Which booking platforms does Zolie work with?+
Any of them. Zolie books directly into Square Appointments, Wix Bookings, GlossGenius, Boulevard, Vagaro, Fresha, and more — on both plans. Pick your calendar at signup and connect it right after checkout.
Does Zolie work for my type of business?+
Zolie is built for single-owner, appointment-based businesses. We have dedicated setup guides and examples for
spas,
hair & beauty salons, and
barbershops — but she works just as well for nail techs, dog groomers, personal trainers, tutors, photographers, and other solo operators who take bookings by phone.
How does Zolie compare to Smith.ai or Goodcall?+
The short version: Zolie answers in
your own cloned voice, books live into your calendar on any platform, and starts at $49/mo — where most answering services use a generic voice and bill per minute or per call. See the full
side-by-side comparison of Zolie vs. Smith.ai vs. Goodcall.
What does the 14-day free trial cover?+
14 days free on either plan. Then $49/mo (Starter, 10 real customer calls included) or $149/mo (Essential, unlimited customer calls). Every plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first paid month — if you're not happy, full refund, no questions.
What counts as a real customer call?+
Only calls where Zolie actually helps a caller and sends you a notification. She answers and screens every call, but robocalls, spam, wrong numbers, and quick hang-ups are screened free — they never count against Starter's 10 included calls, and you're never billed for junk.
How does overage billing work on Starter?+
Your first 10 real customer calls each month are included in the $49. After that, each additional customer call is $2.50, billed monthly on your invoice — no surprise mid-month charges, and spam never counts. If your phone rings more than once a day, Essential at $149/mo is the cheaper option.
Is there a limit on Essential?+
No — Essential is unlimited customer calls at one monthly price. Zolie answers your calls all month, won't cut off mid-month, and your bill never grows with call volume, even for a shop booked back-to-back every day.
What is Booking Rescue — will Zolie pester my clients?+
No. When someone calls, asks about your services, and hangs up without booking, Zolie sends one text a couple of hours later with two real openings from your live calendar plus your booking link — they reply 1 or 2 and the slot is booked. It only goes to callers who showed genuine interest, only during daytime hours, never more than once every two weeks per client, and every text honors STOP. Included with Essential, on by default — turn it off anytime.
How does the No-Show Shield catch fake bookings?+
Fake bookings — throwaway numbers grabbing prime slots that end in no-shows — are a real problem for busy studios. Zolie checks the phone number behind every new booking, including ones made on your public booking page, against real phone-carrier records. Burner and internet-only numbers get flagged on your calendar and you get a heads-up text; reply BLOCK and that number can never book or call you again. Zolie never cancels anything herself — you stay in control. Included with Essential, on by default.
How is Zolie Outreach different from Zolie?+
Zolie answers inbound calls. Zolie Outreach is a planned SMS-first bolt-on for outbound moments: booking confirmations, day-before reminders, reschedule prompts when you cancel, waitlist clearing when a slot opens, win-back for clients who haven't booked in 90 days, and post-visit review requests. $39/mo SMS-only, $79/mo with voice escalation. Bolt-on to either Zolie plan. Coming soon — join the early-access list.
Does Zolie speak Spanish?+
Zolie speaks English only at launch. Spanish, Mandarin, and additional languages are on the roadmap.
Does Zolie text me a summary after every call?+
Yes — but only the ones worth your attention. Zolie filters out robocalls, wrong numbers, and spam before they reach your phone. For real callers, she texts a short recap: who called, what they wanted, whether they booked, and what (if anything) needs you. The noise stays with Zolie. The leads land in your inbox.
Can I keep my own phone number?+
Yes. You keep your existing business number. You just set it to forward to Zolie when you're busy or don't pick up — callers dial the same number they always have. Carrier-specific forwarding instructions land in your inbox at setup, and most owners have it switched on in a couple of minutes.
How long does it take to get set up?+
Most owners are live in about 2 minutes. You tell us about your business (about 60 seconds — we crawl your site to build the knowledge base), record a ~20-second voice sample right after checkout, and forward your line using the instructions on your setup page. No new app to install, no staff to train.
Can I use Zolie for after-hours and overflow only?+
That's exactly how she works. Zolie picks up only when you're busy, with a client, or don't answer within about 15 seconds. When you can take the call yourself, you do. She's the safety net for the calls you'd otherwise miss — not a replacement for the ones you want to answer.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes — no contracts, cancel anytime. Every tier comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first paid month. The 14-day free trial means you've heard her on your own line before you pay a cent.
What can Zolie see in my booking account — is my data safe?+
Zolie reads your services, hours, and calendar availability, and writes new appointments — that's it. She never sees card numbers or payment details (those are separate permissions we don't request), and she can't delete customers or change your settings. You can revoke her access from your booking platform at any time.
